Kathleen Bildson is the beader behind Aut'za'mee Design Co., with Dene and European heritage. Born in Hay River, NT, she has always had a passion for creative expression. However, it was when her maternal aunt taught her the art of beading that she says her artistic journey truly began. Cathy Demerais
Cathy Demerais is a talented artist whose work carries forward the traditions of her culture through beadwork, ribbon skirts, regalia, and dreamcatchers. Each piece she creates reflects both artistry and storytelling, weaving together teachings, family, and community. With a deep respect for her heritage, Cathy’s work not only celebrates beauty but also honours the resilience and spirit of Indigenous culture.



Elder Rita Rogers
Elder Rita Rogers of Grande Prairie is a respected knowledge keeper and talented artisan. She creates a wide range of traditional pieces, including moccasins, mittens, belts, beaded earrings, and medallions. Each item is crafted with care, carrying both cultural teachings and her own creative expression. Through her work, Elder Rita shares not only beautiful handmade pieces but also the wisdom, respect, and spirit of tradition. The Bead Lodge is honoured to feature her artistry in its collection.

Mabel & Suzie Moberly
For Mabel Moberly and her sister, Suzie Moberly, beadwork is more than just a craft; it is a way of honouring tradition, sharing stories, and creating beauty with their hands. Together, they are known for their intricately beaded moccasins and dreamcatchers, along with many other handmade pieces that reflect both their cultural teachings and creative spirit. Isobel Rodeau
Isobel Rondeau is happiest when writing and daydreaming, with a passion for travel shared with her husband, Mark. As a self-published author, she has written two books about the lives of residential school survivors, Absence of Breath and Wings of an Angel.
Residing in beautiful British Columbia, Isobel finds tranquillity in nature while writing about everyday people. Under the pen name Belle Rondeau, she aims to connect with readers through her stories. Isobel believes that everyone has a unique story to tell—these are hers to share.
